At the 62nd Galaxy Awards Ceremony, the work for which Takashi Matsunaga served as the theme music composer — the Kansai commercial broadcasters and NHK collaborative project marking the 30th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, titled “Protect What Matters, and Pass It On” — received the Grand Prize in the Journalism and Reporting Category.

Takashi Matsunaga was selected as a member of the Recording Academy for the 2024 fiscal year and was invited to attend the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards, hosted by the Recording Academy, held in Los Angeles on February 2nd, 2024.
